Waterloo Place was constructed as the part celebration and part triumphal route following the victory by the Duke of York over Napoleon. Completed in the 1820’s it is adorned with statues and monuments to the heroes of the British empire including Florence Nightingale and Robert Falcon Scott.
CSL Surveys were commissioned to undertake surveys of Waterloo Place and its surrounding buildings for historical recording and conservation works.
I attach images to go with each one, prefixed either RCOG or WatLoo – so it should be obvious.
